Just Walk Across The Room (Starting Sunday, February 14)

The 4-part sermon series Just Walk Across the Room focusing on sharing your faith in natural and energizing ways starts February 14. All of our Life Groups will be going through a companion DVD study. Now is a great time to join a Life Group if you aren't part of one. Stop by the Welcome Center in the church foyer for a Life Group brochure or contact Jeff Morton (jeffmorton@cityhill.org) for help selecting a group. Also stop by the Media Corner in the church foyer to buy your Just Walk Across the Room participation guide.


Walking in Wholeness Classes - Winter/Spring Schedule

How about something to warm your heart this winter? Walking in Wholeness Foundations gets the basics of our walk with Christ to new and young believers and digs deep for a firm foundation in the faith to challenge and encourage those who have known the Lord a bit longer. Spiritual Skills teaches skills for living by the Spirit and aids us in understanding what the Spirit is saying to us at different times in our life. (Foundations is a pre-requisite for Spiritual Skills.)

The schedule is:

     *Spiritual Skills: Thursdays - March 11, 18, 25, April 15, 29 & May 6 & 13

Psalm 34 Night (Good Friday, April 2)

Come join us in a night of powerful worship on Good Friday, April 2 starting at 7:00 p.m.(till 8:15 p.m.).


Newcomers' Class (Starting April 11)

If you are new to City Hill or have never taken a Newcomers’ class, we invite you to a new class which will start Sunday April 11. This class is hosted by Sr. Pastor Jim Erickson and will meet at 8:45 a.m. here at City Hill for three consecutive Sunday mornings. At these classes you will learn about the history of City Hill, our beliefs, values, and vision. If you are interested in attending, please contact the church office (952-941-7291 or office@cityhill.org) to sign up for this upcomig class.

Pastors Are Now "On Call"

The pastors of City Hill will be "on call" for pastoral emergencies on evenings and weekends on a rotating basis. If you need to contact a pastor for an emergency after-hours, please call 952-292-5910. If the pastor on call is not able to answer, please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. To reach a pastor during the office hours of the church (Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) please call the church office at 952-941-7291.


Mentoring

If you are interested in being mentored or serving as a mentor, we want to hear from you. Please fill out a mentoring form available in the church's front entryway. Completed forms can be returned to the mentoring slot in the same location. If you have any questions, please contact the church office (office@cityhill.org or 952-941-7291).


Financial Needs Fund at City Hill

City Hill has a fund to financially assist church members who are in financial need. If you would like to contribute to this fund, please make your check out to City Hill Fellowship and write "Needs Fund" on the memo line of your check. If you are a City Hill member and would like to inquire about the Needs Fund, please contact the church office.


Mental Health Support Groups

City Hill hosts two confidential mental health support groups:

     1) For individuals overcoming mental health issues, which meets on Monday evenings.

     2) One for friends and family members supporting those with mental health issues, which meets on Thursday evenings.

These groups exist to bring support, accountability, and balance to the unique challenges Christians face on this battleground of the mind. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining either of these group or for more information (office@cityhill.org or 952-941-7291).


Men of Valor Support Group

A Men of Valor support group for men released from prison will be meeting here at City Hill on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. It will be a time of mentoring, teaching and encouraging as well as accountability.
