Outreach @ City Hill

Reaching people is important to us. We want to build bridges and share God's love in practical and meaningful ways both in our communities and around the world. To this end, we support ministry partners, offer short-term missions trips, plan a variety of local outreaches and partner with local organizations.

Community Outreach Projects

City Hill Tutoring

On Tuesday evenings during the school year, a team of tutors works with English-language learners at the Eden Prairie library. The tutors provide encouragement and help the students with their homework.

4th of July Outreach

Each July, we set-up a booth at Round Lake Park in Eden Prairie and sell ice cream treats, offer free face painting and give away free items. The money raised from the sale of ice cream goes toward a local food shelf.

Community Picnic

In August, we put on a big party for our neighborhood. We partner with many area businesses to provide fun activities (i.e. pony rides, petting zoo, relay races), prizes and grilled picnic food. This provides a fun, relaxing environment to build relationships with our neighbors and businesses.

Thanksgiving Meals

Each November, we put together complete Thanksgiving meals including turkey and a variety of side dishes, then deliver them to families in need to bless them.

Christmas Store

In December, we host a "store" at City Hill in December that is stocked with Christmas gifts. We invite children from low-income families within our community to come to select free gifts for their family members. We also provide gift wrapping, treats and entertainment.
