Community Services

This is a new area of outreach we are currently researching. It involves serving the immediate community to meet felt needs at the grass-roots level. A needs assessment is underway for the development of short and long-term community services.

Community Outreach Events

4th of July Outreach at Round Lake Park

City Hill Fellowship purchases a booth at this city-wide annual celebration. This year we sold ice cream treats for $.50 each and all monies raised were given to PROP (People Reaching Out to People), which is a local food shelf in Eden Prairie. We are so very excited for the success of this event, as it raise money for a great organization and helped raise awareness for this great organization; PROP. Thanks to so many that helped make this a HUGE success.

Community Picnic

CHF hosts a community picnic to create a sense of community to its neighbors and businesses and each year this event gets bigger and BIGGER, and this year was no different. Many of the local businesses were involved to help make this event a success. We had pony rides, water games, non-cash poker tournament, live blue grass music and grilled food. The roasted corn was delicious. We look forward to hosting this event again next summer.

Christmas Store

A “store” is stocked with free Christmas gifts for lower-income families during the Christmas season. Children from these families choose gifts for their parents and siblings which are then gift wrapped by volunteers.
